Fresno Teacher Residency
The Foundation supports innovations in teacher preparation that ensure new educators can lead instruction aligned with Common Core Math Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. In particular, Foundation teacher preparation investments focus on district partnerships, quality clinical preparation, and the use of data to inform continuous improvement. Teacher residencies offer teacher candidates the opportunity to complete their training in the district where they will eventually work, and they provide districts with a valuable talent pipeline.
Working with Fresno State University, Fresno Unified School District offers teachers a chance to train in Fresno schools, with coaching, mentorship, and job placement support to get them off to the very best start. Learn more on the Fresno Unified website.
San Francisco Teacher Residency
The San Francisco Teacher Residency (SFTR) offers aspiring educators the opportunity to help transform lives and communities in San Francisco through the teaching profession. The residencies prepare aspiring educators through yearlong classroom apprenticeships, mentorships, job placement, and additional support to help ensure the success of program participants.
