Alan M. Dachs is President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Fremont Group, a San Francisco-based private investment firm. Mr. Dachs is a member of the Boards of Directors of Bechtel Group, Inc. and the S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation. He is a Trustee of the Brookings Institution. Mr. Dachs is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, Chair of the Academy’s Trust and Vice Chair of its Board of Directors. He is on the Board of Trustees of MIT Corporation and serves on the Corporation Visiting Committees for the Dean for Undergraduate Education; Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences; Sponsored Research; and Chemical Engineering. Mr. Dachs is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of The Conference Board. He serves on the Board of Trustees of The Landmark School. He is a member of the Board of Directors of PIX System, LLC. Mr. Dachs is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of Wesleyan University and received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the university in 2007. Mr. Dachs has a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from New York University.
