Macy Parker, Senior Program Officer


Macy joined the Foundation in 2014, and she is a senior program officer in the Education Program. Her focus is on supporting teacher preparation programs as they train new educators to achieve excellent academic outcomes for California students. Before joining the Foundation, Macy served as a managing director of program at Citizen Schools. She oversaw the non-profit’s California programming, which included an expanded learning time program for high need public middle schools and a teacher residency for Americorps fellows. She previously worked as an 8th grade English teacher in Brooklyn, New York. Macy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Duke University, a Master of Arts in teaching English from C.U.N.Y. Brooklyn College, and a Master of Education policy, organization, and leadership studies from the Stanford University School of Education.
