Lucy Nguyen, Director of Operations and Grants Management

Lucy joined the Foundation in 2013, and she is the director of operations and grants management. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of all aspects of the Foundation’s grants management operations and systems across programs and departments. She also manages the Foundation’s technology needs, ensuring proper maintenance and enhancements to the technical infrastructure and adoption of any new tools to increase efficiency and productivity. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lucy spent 12 years as the grants and contracts manager at California Humanities, directing all components of grants and contracts processing and compliance. Lucy was also a program associate for Mellon Trust of New England, where she managed a cultural access program for under-represented communities in the Boston area. Prior to that position, she served as community projects assistant at the Museum of Science in Boston, supporting community outreach efforts. Lucy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a minor in sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has completed graduate coursework in American history at Boston College.
