Masika Henson, Program Associate


Masika joined the Foundation in 2016 and is a program associate in the Environment Program. Before joining the Foundation, Masika worked for the New York City Parks Department, first with the Natural Resources Group Wetlands and Riparian Restoration team and later with the Borough of Manhattan Operations team. Masika graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science degree in sustainability management. She also holds a B.A. in biological sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she focused on coastal and marine ecosystems. Her relationship with philanthropy began in the Investments Office at the Rockefeller Foundation before transferring to the Foundation Initiatives team where she helped develop an initiative focused on securing the livelihoods and nutritional needs of fishery dependent communities in developing countries.
