Marselle Alexander-Ozinskas, Senior Program Officer

Marselle joined the Foundation in 2013, and she is a senior program officer in the Environment Program. Her work focuses on building the capacity of the conservation and water fields to pursue promising resource stewardship solutions. As part of this effort, Marselle seeks to build the resiliency and relevancy of grantees by supporting their efforts to become inclusive and equitable workplaces that support multiple dimensions of diversity, resulting in an environmental movement that better reflects and represents all Californians. Before joining the Foundation, Marselle worked for Ceres, a nonprofit organization committed to transforming the economy to build a sustainable future for people and the planet. Marselle has also served as a NOAA Sea Grant Fellow and as an environmental legislative assistant in the office of Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo. Marselle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental studies-ecology from Bates College, and she received a Master of Science in ecological and evolutionary biology from Brown University and the Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory. Marselle serves on the Board of Walk San Francisco, a nonprofit organization that makes walking in San Francisco safe for everyone, so our community is healthier and more livable.
